Program Goals:

 

The South Fulton Arrow Youth Council’s Summer Institute focuses on global leadership, scholarship, challenge-based learning and 21st century learning skills. Student grades 6th – 12th will participate in enriching activities related to their select areas of interest & careers which include entrepreneurship, fashion design, health & medical, culinary arts, public speaking, aviation, law, education, cosmetology, athletic training, military, law enforcement, technology, engineering, political science, psychology, mass communications and the entertainment industry. Reputable businesses and institutions will provide short internship opportunities that pair the students with professionals in each career focus area who will lead exploration/training that will help students gain greater awareness of the real world related to their area of interest. By exploring and embracing our four rules of engagement, the MIND, MOUTH, HEART and HANDS, student participants will identify their leadership potential in practical application involving a city project that will represent their culminating exercise for the leadership institute. Students will be on campus from 8:00 AM to 4:00PM. Lunch and snacks will be provided daily

  • Forums (Centered around around issues that effect young people)

Enrollment fee per student is $250*

All funds are non-refundable

Schedule – The 2018 Summer Institute will be conducted beginning July 22 - Aug 2, 2019 from 8:00am – 4:00pm.  CHECK IN OPENS AT 7:30AM.
